Creates a public records exemption for criminal or civil intelligence and investigative information held by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as part of joint or multiagency investigations with other state or federal agencies, if that information is confidential under the partner agency's laws or regulations.

Allows the department to release exempt information in furtherance of its official duties and to other governmental agencies for their official duties.

Exemption does not apply to information from independent investigations conducted solely by the department.

Exemption subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2020, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Takes effect upon becoming law only if SB 1444 or similar legislation is adopted in the same legislative session and becomes law.
