Violation constitutes a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida Statutes s. 775.082 or s. 775.083

Exceptions apply for lawful self-defense, defense of property, or performance of official duties requiring firearm discharge

Exceptions also apply when the discharge does not pose a reasonably foreseeable risk to life, safety, or property, or when the discharge is accidental

Amends Florida Statute s. 790.15 and takes effect upon becoming law
