Creates section 775.0863 in Florida Statutes to reclassify certain criminal offenses committed against real estate brokers, broker associates, or sales associates while showing property or holding an open house.

Applies reclassification to violations of assault, aggravated assault, battery, felony battery, aggravated battery, and sexual battery statutes.

Increases offense severity by one degree: misdemeanor second degree becomes first degree; misdemeanor first degree becomes felony third degree; each felony level increases one degree, with first degree felonies becoming life felonies.

Requires reclassified felony offenses to be ranked one level above the standard ranking under sentencing guidelines (sections 921.0022 or 921.0023) and affects incentive gain-time eligibility under chapter 944.

Effective date: October 1, 2016.
