Amends section 934.425, Florida Statutes, to allow persons or business entities exempt under existing law (such as vehicle owners, parents of minor children, or employers) to hire private investigators to install tracking devices or tracking applications on their behalf

Permits private investigators to install tracking devices or tracking applications when authorized by a lawful court order

Removes previous provision that exempted tracking activities if they would otherwise be exempt when performed by the person who hired the private investigator

Reenacts section 493.6118(1)(y) to maintain that installation of tracking devices in violation of s. 934.425 constitutes grounds for disciplinary action against licensed private investigators
