Amends Florida Statute 61.021 to provide an exception to the 6-month residency requirement for obtaining a dissolution of marriage when the filing party alleges domestic violence, threat of domestic violence, emotional abuse, or refusal of reasonable financial support by the spouse.

Defines "domestic violence" to include assault, aggravated assault, battery, aggravated battery, sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, aggravated stalking, kidnapping, false imprisonment, or any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death of a family or household member.

Defines "emotional abuse" to include yelling, bullying, intimidating, insulting, humiliating, blaming, shaming, isolating, or controlling or withholding money.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
