Permits supervising physicians to delegate prescriptive authority to fully licensed physician assistants for medications not on a restricted formulary, with physician assistant completion of 10 continuing medical education hours in their specialty practice required with each license renewal.

Authorizes licensed physician assistants to perform delegated services within their education and training in accordance with supervising physician direction, unless expressly prohibited by law or rules.

Removes the requirement for letters of recommendation from physician assistant licensure applications and replaces "acknowledgment" language with "sworn statement" for criminal history disclosures.

Eliminates the Department of Health examination requirement for most physician assistant applicants, now relying on National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants proficiency examination as the standard pathway to licensure.

Amends both the Board of Medicine (s. 458.347) and Board of Osteopathic Medicine (s. 459.022) regulations identically, with effective date of July 1, 2016.
