Exempts home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, and photographs of current or former unsworn investigative personnel of the Department of Financial Services from public records disclosure, effective October 2, 2021.

Protects names, home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, and places of employment of spouses and children of such DFS personnel, as well as names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by their children.

Exemption applies to investigations of fraud, theft, workers' compensation coverage requirements and compliance, other criminal activities, and state regulatory requirement violations.

Legislature finds exemption necessary because personnel conducting investigations can lead to arrests for felonies and result in threats, weapons brandishing, verbal threats to harm personnel or family members, harassment, and intimidation.

Bill subject to Open Government Sunset Review Act; exemption shall stand repealed October 2, 2021 unless reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature.
