Exempts identifying and location information of current or former personnel in agency inspector general or internal audit departments whose duties include auditing or investigating waste, fraud, abuse, theft, exploitation, or other activities leading to criminal prosecution or administrative discipline from public records requirements.

Protects home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, and photographs of these employees and their spouses and children, as well as names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by their children, if personnel made reasonable efforts to protect information from public accessibility.

Adds new subsection (o) to Florida Statutes § 119.071(4)(d) establishing the exemption for inspector general and internal audit personnel, subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act with repeal on October 2, 2021 unless reenacted.

Requires written request for exemption maintenance to custodial agency if information is held by an agency other than the employer of the designated employee.

Becomes effective upon passage into law.
