Amends section 960.001 of Florida Statutes to require law enforcement agencies to provide specified information to victims when their property is located in a pawnshop.

Law enforcement agencies must give victims instructions outlining the replevin action process and procedures under section 539.001(15) for recovering property held by pawnbrokers.

When law enforcement locates a victim's property in a pawnbroker's possession, the agency must make reasonable efforts to promptly provide the victim with the pawnshop's name and location.

Maintains existing requirements that law enforcement agencies and state attorneys promptly return victims' property held for evidentiary purposes unless there is a compelling law enforcement reason to retain it.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
