Exempts all pleadings, documents, and images filed in court proceedings for involuntary substance abuse treatment admissions under Part V of Chapter 397, Florida Statutes, from public records requirements.

Prohibits court clerks from posting personal identifying information related to these proceedings on the public docket or in publicly accessible files.

Permits disclosure of confidential records to the petitioner, respondent, their attorneys, guardians, treating health care practitioners, health care surrogates, the Department of Corrections, and persons authorized by court order for good cause.

Requires recipients of disclosed information to maintain it as confidential and exempt from public records laws.

Applies retroactively to all documents filed before, on, or after July 1, 2016, and is subject to legislative review with automatic repeal on October 2, 2021, unless reenacted.
