Higher Education Coordinating Council must develop recommendations by December 31, 2017 to prepare students for computer science, IT, and related careers, including identifying high school courses that can satisfy State University System admissions requirements for foreign languages, math, and science

Commissioner of Education must develop academic standards for computer science, including coding and programming, by June 30, 2017 and add qualifying high school courses to the Course Code Directory

Florida Virtual School must offer identified computer science courses, and school districts that don't offer these courses must provide student access through Florida Virtual School or other means

Department of Education must annually report to the Board of Governors and Legislature on approved courses, student enrollment by district, and number of certified computer science educators

Appropriates $79,326 in recurring General Revenue funds and one full-time position to the Office of K-20 Articulation for implementation, effective July 1, 2016
