• Renames the "Office of Minority Health" to the "Office of Minority Health and Health Equity," headed by a Senior Health Equity Officer responsible for administering the Closing the Gap grant program.

• Authorizes health care practitioners and pharmacists to provide expedited partner therapy for sexually transmissible diseases without the partner having been personally examined by the prescribing practitioner.

• Establishes temporary certificates for active duty military health care practitioners to practice in Florida under military platform agreements, with automatic expiration unless renewed.

• Creates an electronic continuing education tracking system to monitor licensee compliance and prohibits license renewal until all continuing education requirements are met.

• Increases emergency medical technician and paramedic certificate inactive status periods from 180 days to two renewal periods, and reduces certified nursing assistant inservice training requirements from 24 to 12 hours per calendar year.

• Effective date: July 1, 2016.
