Department of Health required to establish a long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) pilot program in Hillsborough, Palm Beach, and Pinellas Counties to provide intrauterine devices and implants through contracted family planning providers

Contracts must include provider training on LARC devices and counseling, technical assistance on billing and clinic management, capacity expansion support, and marketing/outreach activities

Department must seek federal grants and other funding sources to supplement state appropriations for the program

$75,000 in nonrecurring General Revenue funds appropriated for fiscal year 2016-2017, distributed equally among the three participating counties

Report on program effectiveness due to Governor and Legislature by January 1, 2018, including data on unintended pregnancy reduction, clients served, costs, demographics, and return on investment analysis
