Amends Florida Statutes section 903.047 to revise notification requirements for no contact orders issued as a condition of pretrial release.

Requires defendants receive a written copy of the no contact order specifying prohibited acts before release from custody, rather than merely being informed in writing.

Defines "no contact" to include four prohibited acts: communicating orally or in writing (directly or indirectly); having physical or violent contact with the victim or their property; being within 500 feet of the victim's residence; and being within 500 feet of the victim's vehicle, workplace, or regularly frequented locations.

Allows exceptions for attorney-defendant communications for lawful purposes and permits courts to designate a third person to facilitate defendant contact with common children at defendant's request.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
