The Florida House of Representatives condemns the international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel and calls upon governmental institutions to denounce hatred and discrimination.

Identifies increasing incidents of anti-Semitism throughout the world and within the United States and Florida, reflected in official hate crime statistics.

Notes that BDS campaign activities have increased in Florida, including on university campuses and in other communities, and have resulted in confrontation, intimidation, and discrimination against Jewish students.

States that more than 250 university presidents and major academic associations have condemned BDS academic and cultural boycotts as violations of academic freedom.

Requires copies of the resolution be sent to the President of the United States, Congress leadership, and the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., for transmission to Israeli authorities.
