Amends s. 435.07, Florida Statutes to establish comprehensive disqualification criteria for child care personnel, including those previously granted exemptions from disqualification.

Disqualifies child care personnel who are registered sex offenders under 42 U.S.C. s. 9858f(c)(1)(C) or who have been arrested for, convicted of, or adjudicated delinquent for specified felony and misdemeanor offenses related to violence, sexual abuse, child endangerment, and child pornography.

Disqualifying offenses include felonies under Florida law covering domestic violence, murder, assault, battery, kidnapping, sexual battery, child abuse, child pornography, and similar federal or out-of-state crimes.

Requires child care personnel employed as of July 1, 2016, who have been granted exemptions from disqualification to be rescreened no later than August 1, 2016.

Takes effect July 1, 2016, and supersedes conflicting provisions in CS/HB 7053 if that legislation is enacted during the 2016 Regular Session.
