Amends Florida Statutes section 1003.42 to expand character-development program requirements from kindergarten through grade 12, with existing program already required since school year 2004-2005.

Requires character-development curriculum for grades 9-12 to include instruction on leadership skills, interpersonal skills, organization skills, and research skills.

Mandates grades 9-12 instruction on résumé creation, employment interview skills, conflict resolution, workplace ethics, workplace law, stress management, resilience, and self-motivation.

Specifies character-development curriculum must emphasize patriotism, responsibility, citizenship, kindness, respect for authority and personal property, honesty, charity, self-control, and racial, ethnic, and religious tolerance.

Effective date is July 1, 2016, with the State Board of Education encouraged to adopt standards and pursue assessment of these requirements.
