• Maintains existing procedures for court clerks to report adoption decrees, parentage determinations, and affirmations of parental status to the Department of Health within 30 days for issuance of new birth certificates

• Updates provisions regarding artificial insemination, donated eggs, and surrogacy to replace "husband and wife" and "spouses" with "parents" or "commissioning couple" language

• Effective date: July 1, 2016
