Law enforcement agencies must report alleged sexual offenses to the Title IX coordinator of a postsecondary institution within 10 days when both the perpetrator and victim are students at the same Florida College System institution, state university, or nonpublic college/university/school.

"Sexual offense" is defined as any sexual offense, whether forcible or nonforcible, as classified under the Federal Bureau of Investigation's uniform crime reporting system.

All course syllabi at nonpublic colleges, universities, and schools must include information on how to report sexual assault and how to obtain resources available to victims.

All course syllabi at Florida College System institutions, state universities, and career centers must include information on how to report sexual assault and how to obtain resources available to victims.

The act takes effect January 1, 2017.
