Designates January 12, 2016, as "Florida National Guard Day" in the State of Florida

Recognizes the Florida National Guard's approximately 12,000 soldiers and airmen, whose citizen-soldier tradition traces back to militia units formed in 1565

Acknowledges that more than 18,400 Florida National Guard members have served on federal active duty since September 11, 2001, in operations including Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Freedom's Sentinel, and Operation Inherent Resolve

Honors the sacrifices made by Florida National Guard members and their families during natural disasters and emergencies, and recognizes employers' support in allowing service members to return to their jobs after deployment

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Major General Michael A. Calhoun, Adjutant General of Florida
