Recognizes the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee on its 40th anniversary for service to Sarasota and Manatee Counties and the greater Tampa Bay Region

USF began offering upper-division undergraduate and graduate classes in Sarasota County in 1975, established as a regional campus in 2001, and opened a new campus center near the Powel Crosley Estate in 2006

Granted separate academic accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges in 2011

Welcomed inaugural freshman class in 2013 and received Board of Governors approval in 2015 to offer full general education and lower-level courses

Directs copies of the resolution be presented to the USF Board of Trustees and the USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Board
