Recognizes Taiwan's democratic governance, including the election of its first female president Dr. Tsai Ing-wen on January 16, 2016, and notes the 37th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act on April 10, 2016

Acknowledges Taiwan's participation in over 50 international organizations, including INTERPOL, ICAO, APEC, and the WTO

Identifies Taiwan as Florida's sixth largest export market in Asia, one of Miami's largest Asian trading partners, and the Port of Miami's sixth largest export country

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Miami and the Office of the Governor of Florida
