Appropriates $670,493 from the General Revenue Fund to compensate Shuler Limited Partnership for damages to 835 acres of timber caused by negligence and gross negligence of Florida Forest Service employees during a prescribed burn on April 9, 2008.

Directs the Chief Financial Officer to issue a warrant to Shuler Limited Partnership for the full appropriated amount as compensation for damages resulting from violation of section 590.13, Florida Statutes.

Combines with the $100,000 previously paid under statutory liability limits to provide total compensation of $770,493 for damages upheld by the First District Court of Appeal, including $641,496 in damages and $28,997 in costs.

Limits attorney's fees, lobbying fees, and similar expenses relating to this claim to a maximum of 25 percent of the total amount awarded under the act.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
