Sales tax exemption applies August 5-14, 2016 on clothing, wallets, and bags with per-item price limit of $100, excluding briefcases and suitcases.

School supplies with per-item price limit of $15 are exempt, including pens, pencils, notebooks, binders, folders, calculators, and similar items.

Personal computers and computer-related accessories are exempt up to $750 of the sales price, including laptops, tablets, keyboards, mice, monitors, and nonrecreational software.

Tax exemptions do not apply to sales within theme parks, entertainment complexes, public lodging establishments, or airports.

Department of Revenue receives $233,730 in appropriated funds for the 2016-2017 fiscal year to implement the sales tax holiday.
