Creates a third-degree felony offense for convicted sexual predators who use or operate a drone to view or record images of minors at their home, school, child care facility, park, playground, or other places where children regularly congregate.

Applies to sexual predators convicted of kidnapping, sexual battery, lewd or lascivious acts, human trafficking, child abuse, or similar crimes in other jurisdictions where the victim was a minor.

Assigns the drone offense a severity ranking of level 3 in the Criminal Punishment Code, making it punishable under existing felony sentencing provisions.

Conforming changes to cross-references in the Rape Crisis Program Trust Fund statute and additional cost provisions to reflect the new drone offense penalty classification.

Takes effect October 1, 2016.
