Amends Florida law to specify methods by which debtors or their attorneys must notify creditors of legal representation regarding a debt.

Creditors must cease direct communication with debtors within 3 business days of receiving notice of attorney representation, with exceptions for attorney non-response within 30 days, attorney consent to direct contact, or debtor-initiated communication.

Creditors have knowledge of attorney representation if the debtor provides oral or written notice by any reasonable means, or if the attorney provides written notice through service of pleadings, certified mail, prior agreement location, or creditor-designated communication method.

Creditors must designate at least one communication method on billing statements or debt communications for receiving notice of representation, including mailing address, facsimile, email, or other electronic means.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
