Creates exemption from public records requirements for portions of Cold Case Task Force records containing active criminal intelligence or investigative information as defined in Florida Statutes § 119.011(3).

Preserves confidential or exempt status of information obtained by the Cold Case Task Force, maintaining its protected classification when acquired by the task force.

Exempts portions of Cold Case Task Force meetings from public meetings requirements when confidential or exempt information is discussed or acted upon.

Repeals this exemption on December 1, 2017.

Finds public necessity for the exemptions based on protecting ongoing investigation integrity, confidential sources, and investigative techniques.
