Revises physician assistant prescribing authority to allow supervising physicians to delegate medication prescribing/dispensing, with prescriptions permitted in paper or electronic form compliant with specified statutes and chapter 499.

Adds authorization for licensed physician assistants to perform services delegated by supervising physicians in accordance with their education and training, unless expressly prohibited by statute or rules.

Removes requirement for two letters of recommendation in physician assistant licensure applications and replaces "sworn statements" with "acknowledgments" for felony convictions and prior licensure denials.

Eliminates provisions requiring Department of Health examination of certain foreign medical school graduates who applied for physician assistant certification between July 1, 1990, and June 30, 1991.

Changes physician assistant continuing education requirement from filing signed affidavits to acknowledging completion of minimum 10 continuing medical education hours in specialty practice with each license renewal.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
