School districts must provide instruction to homebound or hospitalized K-12 students in accordance with rules adopted by the State Board of Education.

State Board of Education must adopt rules establishing eligibility criteria, procedures for determining eligibility, appropriate instructional methods, and requirements for providing services to qualified homebound or hospitalized students.

School districts must provide educational instruction to eligible students receiving treatment at children's specialty hospitals licensed under Florida law and located within the district until an agreement can be made with the student's home school district.

Department of Education must develop a standard agreement for school districts to use when students transition between districts while receiving services from children's specialty hospitals.

Each school district must enter into an agreement with any children's specialty hospital located within its district by August 15, 2016, establishing notification procedures and timelines for determining student eligibility and providing instruction.
