Authorizes supervisory physicians to delegate medication ordering authority to licensed physician assistants in facilities licensed under chapter 395 or part II of chapter 400 (nursing homes).

Permits advanced registered nurse practitioners to order any medication for patients in facilities licensed under chapter 395 or part II of chapter 400.

Allows supervising practitioners to authorize physician assistants and advanced registered nurse practitioners to order controlled substances for patient administration in nursing homes and similar facilities.

Makes conforming amendments to sections 401.445, 766.103, and 893.0551 to reflect changes to nurse practitioner and physician assistant authority.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
