Mandates certified school counselors hold the certification required under Florida Statutes section 1012.55(1)(b).

Requires school counselors to spend a minimum of 80 percent of contracted work time on direct service delivery to students, faculty, administrators, parents, and community members.

Mandates school counselors provide a student-centered, data-informed program integrated into curricula using the Department of Education's Florida School Counseling Framework, covering services such as academic and social counseling, career counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution.

Requires certified school counselors to comply with the American School Counselor Association's Ethical Standards for School Counselors.
