Exempts identification and location information of former firefighters (certified under s. 633.408) from public records requirements, including home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, and photographs

Extends the exemption to spouses and children of former firefighters, covering their home addresses, telephone numbers, photographs, dates of birth, places of employment, and the names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by the children

Creates a constitutional exemption from Article I, Section 24(a) of the Florida Constitution, providing stronger protection than a statutory exemption alone

Subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act with automatic repeal on October 2, 2021, unless reenacted by the Legislature

Justifies the exemption based on risks to former firefighters and their families from individuals seeking revenge or violence related to emergency responses, deaths, property damage, or criminal arson investigations
