Allows local governments to preserve technical amendments to the Florida Building Code related to water conservation practices or design criteria when the code is updated

Protects local amendments that are necessary to safeguard or provide for more efficient use of water resources under section 373.621

Requires that any such preserved local amendments carried forward into the next edition of the code remain subject to review or modification

Effective date: July 1, 2016
