Elevates violation of firearm possession prohibitions under domestic violence or stalking injunctions from a misdemeanor to a felony of the first degree.

Authorizes law enforcement officers to temporarily remove firearms from domestic violence scenes when they have probable cause to believe an act of domestic violence occurred and the firearm is in plain view or found during a lawful search.

Requires law enforcement to provide firearm owners with information on retaking possession and ensure safe storage of removed firearms during any related proceedings.

Allows firearm owners to retake possession within 14 days after conclusion of proceedings unless ordered to surrender the firearm under the injunction prohibition statute.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
