Creates the "Maxwell Erik 'Max' Grablin Act" establishing clearance and safety requirements for elevators installed in private residences.

Requires distance between hoistway doors and landing sills not to exceed 3/4 inch for swinging doors and 2 1/4 inches for sliding doors.

Mandates horizontal sliding and folding car doors withstand 75 pounds of horizontal force applied to a 4-inch by 4-inch area with maximum deflection of 3/4 inch when fully closed.

Requires elevator platforms to be equipped with devices that interrupt power to the driving machine and stop downward motion within 2 inches if the platform underside is obstructed, resettable only manually.

Directs the Florida Building Commission to adopt these provisions into the Florida Building Code by October 1, 2016, effective July 1, 2016.
