Authorizes students to use credits earned from registered apprenticeship or preapprenticeship programs (registered with the Department of Education under chapter 446) to satisfy high school graduation requirements in paragraphs (3)(e) and (g).

Requires the State Board of Education to approve and identify which apprenticeship and preapprenticeship programs qualify for credit toward graduation and list them in the Course Code Directory.

Applies to career education courses that integrate workforce and digital literacy skills with practical applications resulting in industry certifications or advanced standing in certificate or degree programs.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
