Congratulates Suellen Smith on being recognized by the School Nutrition Association as a 2016 School Nutrition Hero on February 29, 2016, one of only five recipients nationwide.

Smith has worked as cafeteria manager at Zephyrhills High School for 15 years, overseeing a facility serving more than 300 breakfasts and 850 lunches daily.

Maintains a clothing closet at the school cafeteria offering formal attire for students to wear to prom, homecoming, and graduation.

Provides free snacks to students identified by teachers as being in need of food and mentors students with scholarship applications, student council advising, and recognition of academic and personal achievements.

Received the Community Humanitarian Award from the Florida School Nutrition Association in May 2015 prior to the national recognition.
