Amends section 119.0713, F.S. to remove the scheduled repeal date of October 2, 2016 for the public records exemption relating to audit reports and inspector general investigative records of local government.

Defines "unit of local government" to include counties, municipalities, special districts, local agencies, authorities, consolidated city-county governments, and other local governmental bodies created by law.

Maintains that audit reports and investigative reports become public records when final, which occurs when the report is presented to the local government unit.

Keeps audit workpapers, notes, and investigative information confidential and exempt from public disclosure until the audit or investigation is complete and final, or when an investigation is no longer active.

Takes effect October 1, 2016.
