CS/CS/CS/HB 73 - Transportation Facility Designations

• Designates 40 transportation facilities (highways, bridges, streets, and roads) throughout Florida with honorary names, including memorials to military personnel, law enforcement officers, and notable community figures across multiple counties.

• Requires the Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers at all designated facilities to identify them by their new honorary names.

• Amends chapter 2014-228, Laws of Florida to revise the designation of "Reverend Wilner Maxy Maxi Street" in Miami-Dade County (N.E. 73rd Street between N.E. 2nd Avenue and N.E. 3rd Court).

• Amends chapter 26497, Laws of Florida (1951) to change the name of a state road route from "Shepard Broad Causeway Boulevard" to "Shepard Broad Causeway Boulevard" and direct the Department of Transportation to erect correcting markers.

• Takes effect July 1, 2017.
