Proposes constitutional amendments to Article I, Section 8 and Article VIII, Section 5 of the Florida Constitution to exempt certified law enforcement officers from firearm purchase waiting periods and background check requirements.

Exempts law enforcement officers employed or appointed by a Florida law enforcement agency from the 3-day waiting period for handgun purchases under state law.

Exempts law enforcement officers and concealed weapons permit holders from county-imposed criminal history records checks and 3 to 5-day waiting periods for firearm purchases.

Requires submission of the proposed amendments to Florida voters at the next general election or an earlier special election authorized by law for voter approval or rejection.
