Creates section 101.622, Florida Statutes, requiring each supervisor of elections to establish an election alert system.

Supervisors must provide electors the ability to receive alerts via the supervisor's website or voter registration form.

Alert system must send text messages or email notifications by 11 a.m. on the first day of early voting and on election day informing electors that voting has begun and of any changes to voting hours or locations.

Notifications must include a link to precinct polling places and their operating hours.

Effective date is July 1, 2017.
