Creates the Hometown Heroes Pilot Program in Hernando County to transfer previously remitted state sales and use taxes from corporations to qualified nonprofit agencies, with a total program cap of $300,000 per fiscal year.

Allows corporations with physical locations in Hernando County to request transfers of $2,500 to $30,000 in previously remitted sales and use taxes annually to support qualified nonprofit agencies.

Requires qualified nonprofit agencies to be nonprofits located in Hernando County with at least three consecutive years of service, nonprofit incorporation, and audited financial records; excludes agencies providing or funding abortion services.

Establishes application requirements for both nonprofit agencies (submitted to Department of Economic Opportunity by May 31) and sponsoring corporations (submitted to Department of Revenue), with nonprofit agencies required to expend funds within 180 days.

Imposes a penalty of 100 percent of the requested amount plus a second-degree misdemeanor for any person who falsely files an application or unlawfully attempts to receive program funds; effective July 1, 2017.
