Amends Florida Statutes section 489.529 to allow alarm monitoring companies to skip the required verification call before dispatching law enforcement if the alarm has properly operating visual or auditory sensors that enable monitoring personnel to verify the signal.

Creates an exemption from the two-call verification protocol for intrusion/burglary alarms installed on premises used for storing firearms or ammunition by persons holding a valid federal firearms license as manufacturers, importers, or dealers.

Requires customers holding federal firearms licenses to notify their alarm monitoring company that they wish to bypass the two-call verification protocol to receive this exemption.

Mandates that alarm monitoring companies make reasonable efforts to inform customers with valid federal firearms licenses about their right to opt out of the two-call verification protocol when initiating new alarm monitoring service contracts.

Takes effect October 1, 2017.
