• Modifies boiler inspection and certification requirements, shifting installer compliance responsibilities and requiring certification of boiler inspectors through National Board examinations and competency standards.

• Updates insurance licensing provisions for agents and adjusters by revising felony disqualifications, implementing disqualifying periods, and allowing exceptions for cases of executive clemency or pardons.

• Authorizes the Division of State Fire Marshal to contract for occupational disease studies of firefighters and other fire-related field personnel, with ability to release confidential information to approved parties.

• Provides exceptions to sovereign immunity tort claims against counties by waiving certain procedural requirements for presenting claims and serving process on the Department of Financial Services.
