Requires district school boards to implement public information programs informing the general public about educational programs, needs, objectives, and opportunities available through Florida Virtual School.

Authorizes district school boards to adopt policies allowing advertisements promoting school district or school successes on the exterior of school buses, with restrictions prohibiting political content, false/misleading information, and digital advertisements.

Limits school bus advertisements to a maximum of two per bus, with dimensions not exceeding 2 feet in width and 6 feet in length, and prohibits placement on emergency doors or the back of the bus.

Prohibits school buses with non-compliant advertisements from transporting students until advertisements meet all specified requirements.

Authorizes district school boards to budget and use public funds, as prescribed by State Board of Education rules, for implementing public information programs.

Effective date: July 1, 2017.
