Department of the Lottery must include a warning in all advertisements and promotions of lottery games beginning January 1, 2018.

Electronic advertisements must display the warning in black font on white background occupying at least 10 percent of the surface area; print advertisements must meet the same formatting requirements; radio advertisements must include an audibly announced warning at the conclusion.

Warning messages must be one of six specified options rotated equally across all advertisements and promotions: gambling addiction, lottery addiction, gambling classification, extremely low odds, financial problems, or lottery constitutes gambling.

Lottery ticket vendors must include a warning on the face of every lottery ticket sold under contracts with the Department of the Lottery, with the same formatting requirements (black font on white background, 10 percent of ticket face) and message options.

All provisions take effect January 1, 2018.
