Creates a 10-member task force on affordable housing assigned to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, with the corporation's executive director serving as chair.

Task force membership includes representatives from the Department of Economic Opportunity, the Governor, President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, Florida Association of Counties, and Florida League of Cities.

Members serve without compensation but are entitled to reimbursement for per diem and travel expenses paid by their respective state agencies or entities.

Task force must develop and submit recommendations addressing affordable housing needs to the Governor and Legislature by January 1, 2018, including reviews of market developments, building codes, land use, low-income housing tax credits, and rental markets.

Task force is abolished on June 30, 2018, or at an earlier date determined by the task force; the act takes effect July 1, 2017.
