Authorizes private school middle and high school students to participate in interscholastic or intrascholastic sports at public schools assigned by district attendance area policies or schools they choose to attend under open enrollment.

Limits eligibility to private schools that are not members of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA).

Requires private school students to meet the same eligibility standards, acceptance criteria, behavior standards, educational progress, and performance requirements as public school students participating in sports.

Mandates that parents register in writing with the public school by a deadline established for each sport, with the requirement that the public school has not reached capacity as determined by the district school board.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
