CS/HB 1123 Summary

• Eliminates the $10 fee for commissions issued by the Governor to elected officers and notary publics, effective July 1, 2017.

• Deletes the $2 fee for claims to refund motor fuel taxes, effective January 1, 2018.

• Exempts surviving spouses of deceased motor vehicle owners from title transfer fees and deletes fees for adding "Veteran" designation to identification cards and driver licenses.

• Reduces driver school licensing fees (application fee from $50 to $25, licensure fee from $200 to $100, and renewal fee from $100 to $50) and reduces the Florida Building Code permit surcharge rate from 1.5% to 1%.

• Revises delinquency fees for professional licensees regulated by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation to a fixed $25 amount, effective July 1, 2017.
