Creates the Broward County Hospital District Study Group to examine issues and develop recommendations for the South Broward Hospital District and North Broward Hospital District

Study group membership consists of 2 House representatives, 2 Senate representatives (all from Broward County), CEO and board chairpersons of both hospital districts, the Chief Judge of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, the Broward County Administrator, and a consumer representative

Members shall be appointed by July 30, 2017, hold their first meeting by September 1, 2017, and submit a final report by January 29, 2018; study group is abolished after report submission

Study group shall conduct meetings, take testimony, and evaluate potential improvements to quality and cost of health care in Broward County; hospital districts must cooperate fully and provide all requested data

Members serve without compensation; Broward County Legislative Delegation provides staff assistance and resources
